Back in 2015, I started my first business and a few years in I experienced complex health issues and burnout crept in (like it does for so many business owners), it was then I started looking for a retreat to reset. But the search process was…? Overwhelming… to say the least! Scrolling through Google. Calling retreat centres. Trying to compare prices, inclusions, and dates. It was messy. And that’s when the lightbulb moment hit: “Why isn’t there one GOOD place to find retreats easily?” After attending the retreat and feeling the transformative power of a true health-focused break, the mission was born – make retreats more accessible, understandable, and bookable for everyone. And in 2020, The Good Index came to life.

In 2020 I SOLD my first business
After 7 years of running my wellness gifting company…
…I realised it had done exactly what it was meant to:
bring moments of calm to thousands of people, open doors I never imagined, and teach me how to build a business from nothing but an idea and a whole lot of determination.
I wore every hat — from operations to marketing to shipping orders late at night — and turned that startup into a thriving brand with loyal customers, retail partnerships, and a heart- centred mission.
Selling it wasn’t a goodbye. It was a beginning.
The lessons from that chapter fuel how I support other founders today:
with empathy, experience, and a deep understanding of what it really takes to build something meaningful — and let it go when the time is right.
